General Terms and Conditions
The following General Terms and Conditions of Jakob Schlaepfer AG are valid for all products and services of Jakob Schlaepfer AG. The customer is any person (natural and legal) who conducts business relations with Jakob Schlaepfer AG.
(For simplicity, General Terms and Conditions are referred to as "GTC" and Jakob Schlaepfer AG as "Jakob Schlaepfer").
02. Scope of application
All business transactions are subject to the GTC of Jakob Schlaepfer. The present GTC are used for business processing and delivery. Conflicting or deviating GTC shall not be recognised unless Jakob Schlaepfer expressly agrees to this in writing.
03. Obligations of Jakob Schlaepfer
Jakob Schlaepfer has the obligation to provide their services professionally and with care. In addition, Jakob Schlaepfer finds it very important to offer the widest possible range at a fair price.
In Jakob Schlaepfer's online shop, the offer of products and services is aimed at (natural and legal) responsible individuals who are capable of acting.
04. No guarantee without information
Jakob Schlaepfer tries to offer their customers the best possible information about the product range and services. It is important to us that we present this information in a way that is as customer-friendly as possible. However, Jakob Schlaepfer does not guarantee any information about product range, availability, delivery times, services and guarantee conditions or duration. This information may not be construed as a guarantee. We assume no liability for the correctness, topicality and completeness.
For orders from our online shop, the prices offered at the time of the order apply. All prices are inclusive of Value added tax. The listed "fixed prices" correspond to non-binding prices in Switzerland. No liability is assumed for other competitors' prices or non-binding price recommendations. Jakob Schlaepfer reserves the right to change prices at any time.
06. Financial Statements
Product range, prices and services, which are published under the homepage of Jakob Schlaepfer, constitute an offer. However, the contracts are always subject to the (dissolving) condition of being unable to deliver, or an incorrect price quotation by Jakob Schlaepfer.
As soon as the customer places an order online, by e-mail, on the telephone or in the shop, this applies as a business decision or conclusion of contract. An automatically generated order confirmation by e-mail informs the customer that their order has been received by Jakob Schlaepfer.
Receiving this automatically generated order confirmation with the order number, is not a guarantee that the product is actually available or can be delivered. The order confirmation only informs the customer that the order has been received by Jakob Schlaepfer. Thus, a contract has been set up, which can be dissolved in the event of non-delivery. The occurrence of one of the above dissolving conditions (impossibility of delivery or incorrect pricing) dissolves the contract immediately and without the participation of the parties.
The invoice must be paid within 30 days without deduction, upon receipt. In addition, the administrative fee amounts to CHF 5 for administrative expenses.
You will receive a confirmation mail after sending your order. In this e-mail you will find all Jakob Schlaepfer's banking details, and you can settle the payment via postal office, bank, or e-banking. Please note that Jakob Schlaepfer's transfer fees are not included.
When making the payment, the order number must be indicated as the purpose of payment, so that the payment can be allocated correctly. Please note that depending on the financial institution, processing may take several days.
PostFinance / E-finance:
With E-finance, PostFinance enables you to make convenient and secure payment via the Internet. As a PostFinance customer, you can easily log in with your E-finance number and password. The payment amount will be debited directly from your PostFinance account. Subsequently, you will receive a confirmation mail from Jakob Schlaepfer for your successful order.
PostFinance also provides payment via PostFinance Card. You will be logged in by your card and ID number. Monthly limits are set by PostFinance as a protection against misuse.
Visa / MasterCard:
With Jakob Schlaepfer, you can comfortably and securely pay with your credit card. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
As soon as your payment has been confirmed with us, we will send you the order. Your order should appear on your next credit card bill. When you return goods, the amount will be credited to your credit card account.
You will be directed to PayPal after placing your order, and you will be able to make the payment from your PayPal account.
General information about payment processing:
We use a SSL (secure socket layer) secure transmission method to protect your data. Each piece of information is sent encrypted. Please note that in rare cases, there may be external processing errors, which we have no influence over.
In general, the customer undertakes to pay with the funds made available. Until the complete payment of the purchase price, the products remain the property of Jakob Schlaepfer.
Jakob Schlaepfer reserves the right to carry out an automated credit check with our external partner CRIF, based in Zurich. Should this be negative, the contractual relationship can be terminated at any time.
08. Contract cancellation and termination
Orders at Jakob Schlaepfer are binding, i.e. the customer must ensure payment. Jakob Schlaepfer will decide whether in special cases to allow subsequent changes and cancellations. This may result in transfer fees. The transfer damages is 20% of the order as well as the value loss of the product since the order.
The customer has seven days from receipt of the product, otherwise Jakob Schlaepfer has the right to cancel the contract and to cancel the handling costs.
If Jakob Schlaepfer cannot deliver the order due to impossibility of delivery, the customer is entitled to withdraw from the contract, at the earliest four weeks after the agreed delivery date. The amounts reimbursed in advance will be refunded to the customer due to non-delivery.
09. Right of return and exchange
Jakob Schlaepfer grants its customers a right of return of 14 days after receipt of the delivery. The beginning of the period is the day on which the order is received by the customer.
Prerequisites for the right to return are: the products may only have been worn as if they had been tried on in a shop. All products must be returned in a complete state and without damage. Labels and, if necessary, protective films or packaging are included in the delivery and must also be returned. Please use appropriate packaging.
Returns shall be at the expense and risk of the customer and must be returned by recorded delivery. The post office then provides you with a voucher, which includes a shipment number in the event of a package being lost.

Returns that cannot be attributed to a customer shall be stored in the warehouse for three months. After that, Jakob Schlaepfer will be free to dispose of the return.
We are unable to offer you the possibility of returning the following items:
- Pieces of fabric under 2 meters
- Sale articles
- Articles with a price over CHF 1,000/meter (here right of exchange applies)
- individual designs
The right of return can also exclude specially marked products.
If you want to exchange a received order, proceed as for a new order.
10. Delivery and collection
Jakob Schlaepfer sends each order by "A-Post" registered mail, to the Swiss Post office in Switzerland. Abroad, the package is delivered by our partner UPS.
Within Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, orders with an order value of CHF 250 are delivered free of charge.
If the non-collection or refusal of external partners (UPS, Swiss Post, etc.) has been incurred by the customer, they must be borne by the customer.
Jakob Schlaepfer has the following options for guarantee claims: repair, replacement or compensation. Compensation is calculated based on the current value of the product, but never exceeds the value on the purchase date.
The guarantee period is 5 working days after receipt of the goods.
Guarantees are provided, as long as there are no grounds for exclusion such as faulty and harmful handling or other damages. Natural damage (damage caused by nature's action), moisture damage, fall and impact damage or excessive wear are not covered by the guarantee.
Jakob Schlaepfer shall inform the customer of any repairs that are not accepted as guarantee cases. In the case of non-repair, the customer will be charged a flat rate of CHF 35 to cover the handling costs. No repairs are carried out without the customer's consent.
If a repair order cannot be delivered, or if it is not picked up within three months, Jakob Schlaepfer has free access to the goods.
Guarantee exchange or guarantee repair does not lead to an extension of the original guarantee period
12. Amendments to the GTC
Jakob Schlaepfer is entitled to change these terms and conditions at any time.
13. Disclaimer of liability
No claims for damages due to impossibility of performance, contract violations and other negligence can be claimed. If a contract is dissolved, Jakob Schlaepfer is not obliged to provide a substitute, as far as this is legally permissible.
The place of jurisdiction is St.Gallen. Relations between customers and Jakob Schlaepfer are subject exclusively to Swiss law, excluding the IPRG and the right to purchase goods.
15. Copyright Notice
These GTC are copyrighted intellectual property. Jakob Schlaepfer has the sole rights of use. Use by third parties, even extracts, for commercial purposes is not permitted. Infringement is punishable by criminal law.
